Curious about your IQ

British Mensa is the founder member of an internationally renowned high IQ society which has a worldwide membership of almost 100,000 members in more than 100 countries. There are 26,000 members in the UK, including 1,200 Junior Mensans under the age of 16. To join Mensa today, the only requirement for membership is that an individuals IQ falls within the top 2% of the population.

    British Mensans elected to International Posts  Two high-profile members of British Mensa have been appointed to the International Mensa Board of Directors. Current British Mensa Chairman Chris Leek, aged 46 from London, has been elected as International Chairman, while Oxford-based Peter Boswell, aged 49, takes up the post of Director of Development. Both candidates have been active participants in the running of British Mensa and the international society for several years...

    British Mensa Appoints New Chairman  

    Sylvia Herbert, a public relations professional from Worcester, has been appointed chairman of British Mensa. Sylvia, a Mensan for more than 10 years, takes over the post from Chris Leek, who was announced last week as the new international chairman of the High IQ Society.

    Sylvia, 54, has served on the volunteer board of directors of British Mensa for four years. During this time she also took on duties as a national representative to the international board of Mensa and has sat on various sub-committees. She has also represented Mensa on the BBC Test the Nation IQ show for the last two years...
